Influenza TiterSafe, an HAI reagent, consists of non-replicative virus-like particles (VLPs) that display influenza HA and NA on a lentivirus core. TiterSafe replaces live virus in the hemagglutination inhibition assay (HAI), the standard assay for testing immune sera to determine to assess serum antibody titers. Protocols are provided for HA and HAI assays, with guinea pig RBCs the recommended target.
