Ready Reporter Virus™ Kit SARS-CoV-2 JN.1

Integral Molecular’s Ready Reporter Virus™ kit for SARS-CoV-2 JN.1 is an all-in-one, thaw-and-use solution for fast neutralization results in <1 day. Each single-use kit comes with non-replicative Ready Reporter Virus (RRV) particles, permissive target cells, and fusion signal enhancer in sufficient quantity for a 96-well plate.

The thaw-and-use target cells are pre-loaded with a reporter dye that remains uncleaved until RRV particles deliver a reporter enzyme to the cell. Upon infection, the enzyme cleaves the dye, causing a shift in its emission wavelength.   

• Recommended dye excitation is 409 nm 
• Emission wavelength of infected cells with cleaved dye is 447 nm 
• Emission wavelength of uncleaved dye is 520 nm

Kit Components 

RRV kit components are for single use. Re-freezing risks complete loss of viral activity and cell viability. 

SARS-CoV-2 JN.1 Ready Reporter Virus™ (RRV) Particles are non-replicative BSL-2 safe pseudoviral particles that enable an enzyme-catalyzed optical readout compatible with flow cytometry, microscopy, or a plate reader. RRV particles display antigenically equivalent viral protein(s) on a heterologous virus core and produce a fluorescent readout within 3 hours of cellular infection.  

Dye-loaded HEK-ACE2 Target Cellsare a monoclonal cell line of human embryonic kidney cells (HEK-293T) that overexpress human angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (hACE2, GenBank Accession# NM_021804.3) to facilitate the binding and entry of SARS-CoV-2. The cells are loaded with a tandem dye substrate. Cells should be stored at -80°C for storage up to 3 months. For longer term storage, LN2 may extend kit life.  Cells are intended for research purposes only.  

100X Fusion Signal Enhancer allows the enzymatic reaction signal to be read easily by common fluorescence detection methods.
