Reporter Virus Particles (RVPs) are replication-incompetent pseudotyped virus particles that enable safe (BSL-2), easy, and high-throughput viral infectivity and neutralization assays using standard detection instrumentation. RVPs display antigenically equivalent membrane protein(s) on a heterologous virus core and carry a modified genome that expresses a convenient optical reporter gene within 24 hours of cellular infection.

C-HA102 is a monoclonal cell line of human embryonic kidney cells (HEK-293T) that overexpress human angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (hACE2, GenBank Accession# NM_021804.3) to facilitate the binding of SARS-CoV-2 Reporter Virus Particles. This clone stably expresses hACE2 for up to 30 passages under puromycin selection and was selected for its transduction efficiency by SARS-CoV-2 RVPs. The cells are adherent and have an epithelial morphology.
IM-CoV2-G06 is a recombinant monoclonal antibody that neutralizes early SARS-CoV-2 variants including Wuhan-Hu-1, D614G, Alpha, and Delta. This clone weakly neutralizes Omicron variants BA.1 and BA.1.1.
VSV RVPs function as a control for RVP experiments to differentiate specific versus non-specific effects on neutralization. VSV RVPs display VSV-G on a heterologous MLV core.
