Neutralization Kit - Chikungunya Reporter Virus Particles, Antibody

Integral Molecular’s Chikungunya Neutralization Kit is the idea; starter kit for easy neutralization assays using replication-incompetent pseudoviruses. The kit includes Chikungunya Reporter Virus Particles (RVPs), a recombinant monoclonal antibody that neutralizes chikungunya, and RVPs bearing VSV-G as a negative control for neutralization by chikungunya-specific antibodies.

Reporter Virus Particles (RVPs) are replication-incompetent pseudotyped virus particles that enable safe (BSL-2), easy, and high-throughput viral infectivity and neutralization assays using standard detection instrumentation. Chikungunya (CHIKV) RVPs display chikungunya E2/E1 viral entry and fusion proteins on a heterologous virus core. They carry a modified genome that expresses an optical reporter gene (GFP or luciferase) within 24 hours of cellular infection.  

IM-CKV063 is a recombinant monoclonal antibody that neutralizes chikungunya. The antibody sequence was recovered from an individual who was infected and recovered from CHIKV during the 2006 outbreak in La Réunion, France. The antibody epitope is well characterized and spans domain A and domain B of two neighboring E2 within one spike. 

VSV RVPs function as a control for RVP experiments to differentiate specific versus non-specific effects on neutralization. VSV RVPs display VSV-G on a heterologous MLV core.
