Who We Are

Innovation is the heart of our company, and our scientists have developed 6 novel technology platforms to address some of the most challenging problems in therapeutic discovery. Our technologies have been published in over 500 papers and patents, including manuscripts in Cell, Science, and Nature.

Integral Molecular is a founding member of Philadelphia’s biotech community, launched by a team of scientists who met as graduate students and postdocs at the University of Pennsylvania. Our core leadership team has worked together since 2001 to build the company from a two-person laboratory to the industry leader in membrane protein solutions.

With deep roots in Philadelphia, Integral Molecular strives to actively engage local students and community members with STEM educational initiatives. We are proud to work with our local community and hope to inspire a new generation of scientists.

Workforce Development in the Science Center.
We partner with the Science Center’s Workforce Development program to provide apprenticeships to Philadelphia residents to enable access to family-sustaining careers in STEM industries.

We partner with FirstHand to provide students with skills-based career exposure, hands-on experience in the laboratory, and ongoing mentorship.

With the Science Center, we launched the BioArt Residency to provide inspiration from the world of biotechnology. This enables artists to engage broad audiences and stimulates dialogue around art and science.

Research Facilities

Our 50,000 sq. ft. research center is heavily invested in state-of-the-art cell and molecular biology, robotics, high-throughput instrumentation, and technology to enable us to solve difficult challenges and advance therapeutic discovery.

Integral Molecular’s research facility is located at the junction of innovation and entrepreneurship within the University City Science Center, the country’s largest urban research park. Surrounded by top-tier universities, medical centers, and biotech companies, Integral Molecular thrives with an energetic backdrop of technology and talent that includes the University of Pennsylvania, Spark Therapeutics, Amicus Therapeutics, the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, and the Wistar Institute.
